Should I?

I've been thinking about it.

About going incognito.

For a long time if not for good.

If you're a regular reader then you should remember when I said I don't care who's reading my posts. Well I've changed my mind.

I do care. A lot.

I've made some wrong choices. I should give some credit to my cynical brain and stop getting too friendly on first meetings. I'm a poor judge of character. I'm so gullible. Ugghh...When will I ever learn?!

There are some things which can't be undone. And then there are some which can be altered. Or get a new 'one'.

A new blog?

Hmm...I'm really contemplating on moving on...to a new one.

What do you think?

The Intruders

After writing the post on how I couldn't sit down and read a good book, I thought of trying again. That is, to read a book. Looking up my shelf I had 3 unread books. And I finally chose 'The Intruders' by Micheal Marshall. I'm not good at writing books' reviews/summaries like some of my peer bloggers. So check the link below:

I started it day before yesterday and I haven't even reached page 100. Yesterday was so busy, what with birthday and all, and a couple of friends popped over to wish me. I'll surely write a short feedback when I finish the book.

In the meantime, I'm gone tweaking my newly-acquired Blackberry Bold. (I'm just rubbing it in...LOL)

See you laters peeps!

Tramp Ah Trippin'

Friday I woke up not knowing I was going to have a great night. Usually hubby keeps Friday nights to hang out with his boys. Being a woman I made sure I imposed on his plans and it worked. One time...two times...three times...until it became a habit. So not only Friday nights' plan include me but Saturdays' and Sundays' too...and sometimes Thursdays'. Which leaves him with no option but to squeeze in boys' time in between the heavy schedule we have.

But even if I got my cake and eating it too he makes sure that I stick to whatever he plans for that night. So in other words, me being a typical female and him being a typical male, I'm getting my way but doing things his way. Ain't that a smart move?!

But I love him and I don't care as long as I'm spending time with him.

So yes as I was saying last Friday night turned out great because all we he arranged for was to chill by the bar and shoot pool. With me as 'bystander'. However I voice out my wish to play dominoes with a couple of other players who were at it already. Hubby was lured too so he was like 'What the heck let's play some dominoes...'

So far so good...we stepping out of the norm...

Usually we're bags of limp bones by 2 - 3 a.m. Not that night. We somehow ended in the opposite building - the only club in the area (well the only operating one). We've been there more than a couple of times and you can always expect crowded droves of teenyboppers. Again, not that night. It was the best crowd we ever had there. Because according to hubby the lesser the better. That lifted his mood higher than when he's sipping on Hennessy and Cranberry Juice/Coconut Water.

And the music! For once, even I have to admit, the DJ spinned some 'decent' tunes.

So there we were, having a blast. And then shit hit the fan. My fan.

There's this girl, dancing away with her partner. Married partner. And at the same time checking out MY hubby! I didn't think much of it. He is sexy. He gets stares from all and sundry. But what took my breath away along with my temper was her bold words. Here goes the conversation:

Nasty Girl: "Is that DuMaurier?" (She asked hubby what cigarette was he smoking. I say it was all an act because she couldn't miss seeing the B&H box on the counter next to our drinks.)

But hubby played along and said, "Uh no it's B&H."

She smiled and turned away 'cause her "borrowed" man came back.

Minutes later, Mr Borrowed Man went to shake hands with the unemployed and she decided she would make a move on my man.

SO...she whispered to hubby, what with us in close proximity and all, pointing at me, "Is she your wife?" (No I'm his mother!)

Hubby was like, "Yes, why?" to which she replied, obviously disappointed, "Oh! So there's no chance at all...?"

"No way!", seemingly that's what hubby said.

Then came back Mr Borrowed Man and she's off again and started kissing him all over. I don't know what she was trying to prove but anyway, hubby then told me and I saw RED! Which I hid very well since I didn't want to let a tramp ruin our night.

I was in WTF mode and still am...and I can still see her throwing a tentative smile at me! I gave her my meanest stare and glare and turned away!!

Seriously WHAT THE FUCK?!

YOU SHAMELESS BITCH!

The Proust Questionnaire

Up until yesterday I wasn't aware of The Proust Questionnaire. Unlike some of you who may be quite well versed with it. It appears that one of the leading magazines, Vanity Fair, runs the said questionnaire on each copy of its monthly publication. I don't usually spend money on magazines when I know sooner or later you'll find it online. The only times you'd catch me reading one of those are when I'm early for a doctor's or hair salon's appointment.

Surprise!

I was going to wait until Monday to 'surprise' Morinn but I can't sit still without letting her know how much I enjoy reading her blog too.

So here's one for you Morinn:

It's not a consolation award in any way. It comes from the heart. I was planning to give it to you at some point. Impatient as I am, it should be today! :)

Not many Mauritian girls blog. Those who do, either blog infrequently or writes crap just to get traffic. But Angele and Morinn compose well-written posts from a personal standpoint or to get their opinions/observations across. And I'm one biased fan of their writings. :)

Morinn keep it up dudette! (Love it when you say it!)
